More info

Felix Burns published a number of dance albums, each containing a complete evening's programme of traditional dances. The varied programmes include tunes of different moods, from light waltzes and easy saunters, to dramatic tangos, brisk military two-steps and lively Schottisches.  The dance albums usually included a country dance and Sir Roger de Coverley, and always ended with God Save The King.

The pieces are eminently accessible, and suitable for players looking for easy to intermediate pieces to extend their repertoire; though originally written for piano, with other band parts separately available, most of the pieces adapt superbly to the very different style of the accordion.

Most of the pieces could be played on a 48 bass box; there are occasional diminished and augmented chords, which could be substituted with the major or 7th chord.
